Andersson In my artistic process I have issues regarding where contemporary art is today, what can be done and what can I do? Critics are constantly discussing if it´s possible to take a step further or if the current situation must begin to refer back. What happens if one is not fixed in its meaning? Can one say that the death of art is its progress and how do you move from there? How do we understand and relate ourselves to the abstract art when its borders have since long been repudiated and revalued? ![]() Title: We've got 13,73 ± 0,12 billion years of memory in our minds All my desires in one minute Link to artist website: >>> Martinka Bobrikova/Oscar de Carmen Martinka Bobrikova and Oscar de Carmen are multi-media artist whose work spans performance, installation, video and sound. I take this to develop own ways of recognition about my society. Title: Ground Our soul looks for ground where to grow down his roots so if we lost our ground we lost our soul. The Identity of the people an nation who have belong entirely to rural places is to be in that places, to feed their souls seeding plants, feeling nude ground below their feet. They, we, you are ground where to grow up our imagination and dreams. If we loss our ground, being displaced from their places by thieves: where our soul goes? Title: No Title FIRST SESSION IN THE FALL OF 2010 Projection based Urban Interventions The fall program of the series opens up with a group of artists attending Valand. Their first contribution is a text-based project, generated from a workshop on dissent and diversity. An exploratory process with discussions on issues of shared space including the boundaries of the group as a collaborate entity. Text and images surrounds us, commercial companies buy or rent space in the public sphere to deliver their messages. Public Projections - Gothenburg asks artists to claim (reclaim) the public sphere and open up a critical dialog on urban space. The project from the Valand-group invites the by-passer to reflect on the transformation of the space as single words or phrases appear. Some of the phrases are derived from experiences in everyday life others are quotes from information campaigns used in the elections yet another strand hits the sense of escapism and fantasy. The span in the texts stretches from playful to serious and sincere all set to activate the urban space.
